CHÂTEAU DE L'AUJARDIÈRE: HERITAGE AND PHILOSOPHY
Château de l’Aujardière: A Legacy of Innovation and Tradition
Rich in a family heritage passed down since 1850, Château de l’Aujardière is the birthplace of a diverse wine production, led by Olivier Lebrin, a fifth-generation winemaker. Situated on the grounds of an old noble estate, Château de l’Aujardière combines historical charm with innovation in viticulture, offering a comprehensive range of wines that capture the essence of this terroir with a marked oceanic influence.
Château de l’Aujardière: A Legacy of Values and Tradition
The saga of Château de l’Aujardière begins with the “Louis,” ancestors of Olivier Lebrin, who left him a domain imbued with values and traditions. Each generation has contributed to enriching the estate's wine heritage, infusing it with the characteristic freedom of the Lebrin family. This independence is reflected in their choice of polyculture for many years, allowing them to stay attuned to market demand and avoid dependency on a single product. The domain’s motto, “LEBRIN VINS LIBRES” (LEBRIN FREE WINES), echoes this innovative approach to wine diversification and the quest for freedom at Château de l’Aujardière. Olivier’s commitment to excellence and diversity is evident in a range of wines that are bold, expressive, and authentic, reflecting the spirit of the estate.
Historical Anecdotes and Unique Wines
Among the stories that animate Château de l’Aujardière, the legend of a barrel filled with Louis d’Or hidden somewhere beneath the château fuels the family’s imagination. In tribute to this tale, Olivier created the cuvée “TRÉSOR,” a Muscadet aged in amphora, symbolizing this mystery and the estate’s heritage. The love for wine is passed down through generations at Château de l’Aujardière. With passion, attention to detail, and environmental respect, Olivier Lebrin and his team craft high-quality wines where each cuvée tells a story.
For sparkling wine enthusiasts, Olivier Lebrin produces a traditional method sparkling wine worth discovering. Named “Chambelle & Co,” this cuvée honors the Seigneur who once owned the estate, with "Co" paying tribute to the team supporting him at Château de l’Aujardière. Additionally, the three stars on the label symbolize Olivier’s three children, a testament to the estate’s commitment to preserving this legacy for future generations.
Château de l’Aujardière: Sincere Wines with No Pretense
Olivier Lebrin is dedicated to developing the estate with the ambition to create a new range of accessible wines that encourage moments of sharing and conviviality while remaining affordable. This aspiration continues the estate’s efforts to produce quality wines that can be enjoyed and appreciated by many without breaking the bank. This initiative reflects Château de l’Aujardière’s commitment to continually reinventing itself while preserving the essence of its identity.
Dedicated to the vine and wine, Château de l’Aujardière daily nurtures the heritage of their ancestors with the aim of sharing their wines’ unique flavors with as many people as possible. Between tradition and modernity, Château de l’Aujardière is a must-visit for all epicureans and lovers of “free wines.”
