A Dry White Wine with a Fish Poke Bowl

The traditional poke bowl recipe features raw fish marinated in soy sauce. You can choose tuna or salmon. To complement the aromatic flavors of poke bowls with fish, shrimp, or seafood, the best food and wine pairing is a bottle of dry white wine.

Opt for Alsace appellations like Pinot Gris or Gewurztraminer. The fruitiness and mouthfeel of dry white wines perfectly accompany this dish with its diverse flavors.

To elevate this dish from the islands, you can also enjoy a sunnier bottle by choosing an organic cuvée from AOC Côtes de Provence. White flowers and fruity notes balance your salmon or tuna poke bowl. We also recommend Loire Valley wines, such as a bottle of Pouilly Fumé, 100% Sauvignon Blanc, with its vibrant, mineral qualities, floral notes, and citrus zest aromas.

A Rosé Wine with a Chicken or Tofu Poke Bowl

There are many recipe variations to suit your tastes. Poke bowls are a meal with multiple flavors, and you can easily prepare homemade poke bowls. You can also add meat, such as marinated chicken breast, or tofu for a vegetarian option. For ingredient choices, let your creativity run wild: edamame, seasoned rice, spices, tomatoes, cucumber, exotic fruits, vegetables, cilantro, avocado. The poke bowl is highly versatile and will take your taste buds on a journey.

To match this explosion of tastes and unique flavor combinations, consider a bottle of rosé wine for your vegan or chicken poke bowl.

We recommend a rosé wine from Languedoc-Roussillon. These cuvées with fruity notes bring freshness to your dish. Rosé wines from Provence are also excellent choices. You might choose a bottle from a Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence estate, which, light yet complex, pairs very well with exotic meals.

If you prefer red wine, select an organic cuvée with very soft tannins and controlled acidity. Opt for a Burgundy cru with Pinot Noir or red wines from Beaujolais with red fruit notes for a successful food and wine pairing.
