For the past few years, the Gremillet family has welcomed visitors once a year to their vineyards at nightfall. The origin of the "Night Harvesters" event at Maison Champagne Gremillet is quite remarkable, as the spotlights that illuminate the vineyards were originally intended for a completely different purpose. "When my family bought the estate, there was a nightclub in the basement. We ran it for ten years, but with the arrival of children and the vineyard to manage, we've scaled back a bit, though we still open it occasionally. One evening, my siblings and I realized that the spotlights from our nightclub were powerful enough and perfectly positioned to light up our vineyards. That's how we came up with the idea to organize night harvesting sessions for visitors," explains winemaker Anne Gremillet.

Harvesting to the Rhythm of Music

Open to everyone for 40 euros per person, the "Night Harvesters" session begins with a tour of the Gremillet cellar, where you'll have the chance to taste three of the estate’s cuvées. A dinner with the Gremillet family will set the tone for the evening, allowing you to meet your future harvesting partners. But at 9 PM, the fun begins. With a headlamp on your forehead, pruning shears in hand, you’ll embark on a half-hour of grape picking. All this takes place in a festive atmosphere, with live musicians providing the rhythm for your work.
