DOMAINE DES MAILLOCHES
Domaine des Mailloches: A Premier Name in Bourgueil Wine
Discover the Legacy of Domaine des Mailloches
Under the expert guidance of Samuel Demont, Domaine des Mailloches is a gem within the Bourgueil appellation. Since 1864, the Demont family has maintained a rich winemaking tradition, reflecting the unique heritage and craftsmanship of the region. Spanning 22 hectares in Restigné, the estate produces Bourgueil wines distinguished by their diversity and exceptional quality. The varied soils, ranging from sandy to clay-limestone, offer a spectrum of wines, from lighter, smoother options to more robust, structured cuvées, revealing the true essence of the Bourgueil terroir.
A Tradition of Excellence and Innovation
Domaine des Mailloches embodies the pinnacle of winemaking excellence through its commitment to quality and respect for traditional methods. With a history spanning eight generations, the Demont family has crafted four unique cuvées, all made from the region's emblematic grape, Cabernet Franc. Each cuvée expresses the elegance and distinctive character of this grape variety. Samuel Demont and his team strive to elevate each vintage to a standard of excellence, enhancing the estate's reputation within the vineyard.
Domaine des Mailloches: Innovation and Celebration
The primary goal of Domaine des Mailloches is to share the richness of its wines with a broader audience. By expanding their marketing efforts, they aim to introduce the uniqueness of their wines to an ever-growing public. The estate is notable for its exceptional Bourgueil wine, the only one to have been served at a meal at the Élysée Palace, underscoring its excellence. This recognition highlights Samuel Demont and his team's dedication to preserving a precious winemaking heritage and producing wines that reflect their passion and respect for the terroir.
Each year, Domaine des Mailloches hosts open house events, inviting enthusiasts and connoisseurs to explore their world. These events, themed "Bourgueil and Ribeye," celebrate gastronomy and the art of living through wine. Emphasizing customer satisfaction, the events feature breeders and artists, creating a unique experience.
A Wine, A Signature: Cuvee 400.18
Cuvee 400.18 perfectly embodies the philosophy of Domaine des Mailloches. Sourced from century-old vines, this micro-cuvée is crafted with the utmost care, with each grape meticulously selected. Aged in a 400-liter barrel for 18 months, this cuvée develops silky tannins and a subtle woody note. Samuel Demont sees this cuvée as a representation of his commitment to excellence.
Domaine des Mailloches stands out not only for its history and tradition but also for its dedication to innovation and quality. Samuel Demont and his team are the guardians of this heritage, working passionately to ensure each cuvée is a true reflection of the Bourgueil terroir and their love for winemaking.
