A Champagne Defined by a Woman

"Elegance, finesse, and excellence." These are the terms used by Christiane Guillaumée to define her approach to Champagne. "Somewhat like a woman," adds the winemaker, who remains one of the few women in the region producing and marketing her own wine. And to achieve this, she faces every challenge, including those posed by Mother Nature.

Located in the Aube region, Domaine Christiane Guillaumée is exposed to a unique climate. With an average annual temperature of 11°C and low rainfall, maintaining the vineyards is no small feat. "But paradoxically, these weather conditions allow for grapes of exceptional quality, which provide the freshness and finesse needed to produce great Champagne !" explains Christiane Guillaumée.

Harvesting Exclusively by Hand

When it comes to harvesting, the winemaker adheres strictly to the traditions of her region: she dons her gloves and uses her secateurs to pick the grapes entirely by hand. The grapes are then placed in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, another hallmark of Champagne winemaking.

Domaine Champagne Guillaumée is also committed to a reasoned viticulture approach, a method developed since the 1990s that involves treating the vines with phytosanitary products only when absolutely necessary.

Dressed in a beautiful salmon-colored robe, this cuvée releases aromas of almond, poppy, and red fruits. Smooth and generous, the palate reveals a lovely roundness and a great freshness on the finish.

Ideal for a Christmas meal, this rosé Champagne is perfect as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with fish and fruity desserts.
